Honor has worked in the UK higher education industry for many years with teaching experience in the UK, Hong Kong and Myanmar. Honor is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with a strong academic track record, attaining first-class BA in International Accounting, Masters (Merit) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northampton, also gaining Post grad certificate of academic practice (PG Cap).

She is also an accomplished entrepreneur owning a number of businesses, one being an accountancy practice for 20 years. In addition, Honor has the professional qualifications - Chartered Institution of Management Accounting (CIMA adv Dip MA) alongside her Fellow membership of Association of Accounting Technicians and is also an academic member of The Association of International Accountants. Honor actively continues professional development and has recently completed the foundation qualification for Prince2 – Project Management in Controlled Environments. In more recent years has been in both industry and academia, her current position is Head of Finance for one of the largest Credit Unions in the UK. Outside of work Honor is proud to be Chair for the Ekins Trust Charity (founded in 1705) supporting local children and young adults in their education, serving as finance lead at Weston Favell Primary school as Foundation Governor.
